NELL BEALE     Designer & Maker

Nell Beale has been designing and making furniture to commission for private clients and architects since 1998. She has had clients across the UK with most of her work generated by personal recommendation.

Nell trained on a Furniture Design HND at Shrewsbury College. After qualifing in 1994, she worked at Spindlewood Woodturners in Somerset for three years, where she took care of one side of the business that made lamps and candlesticks for Mulberry. In 1997, she moved to Brighton where, after working with another designer/maker, she launched her own business a year later.
Nell is now based in SW France and is registered as a business.

Nell believes it is of utmost importance to have the ability to construct furniture and understand the material, in order to carry out the design. As a result, every piece of her furniture not only displays great beauty and proportion but also does its job perfectly.

Nell has designed and produced everything from coffee tables to bespoke kitchens and home offices. Prices for kitchens and studies generally range from €6,000 to €15,000, depending on size and materials. She now concentrates mainly on larger projects but will still consider making smaller items of furniture. Nell is committed to delivering a considerate, quality service and clients often thank her for taking the time to really understand their requirements.
